High Street Sidcup, Bexley

Introducing an enhanced architectural identity and smarter space planning to a landmark corner site in Sidcup Town Centre, all delivering an improved mixed‑use redevelopment

This project by APC Building Services (APC) shows their commitment to community impact by extending the existing building to deliver improved commercial space and 3 high quality residential flats, alongside upgraded access, parking and landscaping. The commercial accommodation is reconfigured and expanded across ground and lower ground levels, introducing modern office space, accessible facilities, secure cycle storage and a dedicated bin store. Above, the first and second floors are converted and extended to form 3 new homes, each with allocated parking, cycle storage and appropriate refuse provision. The existing car park is regraded to create level access, clearer visibility and a safer, more efficient layout, providing ten off‑street spaces including two disabled bays. Soft and hard landscaping, including raised planting along Station Road, strengthens the site’s appearance and contributes positively to the streetscape. Developed in response to pre‑application feedback, the scheme integrates sensitively with the existing building, enhances the character of Sidcup High Street and delivers sustainable, well designed homes.
