New Homes and Commercial Space in Lewisham

London Housing Workshop is proposing a high-quality mixed-use development at 140–142 Lee High Road, Lewisham. The scheme will replace a vacant single-storey building with a new 5-storey structure featuring a commercial unit at ground floor and 8 well-designed residential flats above (7 x 2-bed and 1 x 1-bed).

The design takes inspiration from the surrounding Victorian context, with a contemporary approach to materials and detailing. A black brick façade, recessed yellow brick entrance, and zinc-clad mansard roof create a distinctive yet contextual addition to the streetscape.

This project supports the ongoing regeneration of Lee High Road by delivering much-needed new homes and revitalising a currently underused site.
